Celebrating diversity and transformation in automotive

Ennis & Co is delighted to be continuing its successful partnership with Autocar Drivers of Change – the popular national awards initiative which, for the first time, will be focusing this year on diverse talent in the automotive industry.

Winners of the new-look competition will be individuals who are driving change and promoting diversity in their business in whichever role they perform.

Judges will be looking for entries that can demonstrate the adoption of diversity of background, experience and thought in their business.

Award winners will be announced in nine categories:  Marketing; Manufacturing; Operations; PR & Communications; Purchasing; Retail; Sales; Talent; and Vehicle development.

Individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by friends, colleagues or employers. The awards are open to anyone working in the UK automotive industry, as well as Britons working in the automotive industry abroad.

Entries are open from Sept 26 2024 to October 25 2024 via the Autocar Drivers of Change entry form Drivers Of Change (autocar.co.uk)

The winners will be announced at a special event hosted by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) at their London headquarters on February 6 2025.

Lynda Ennis, Founder and CEO of Ennis & Co, said: “This is the fourth time that we have partnered with Autocar Drivers of Change to celebrate the best and the brightest in the automotive industry, and we’re delighted to be supporting this great initiative again.

“This year’s revamped awards are particularly dear to my heart as a passionate advocate of diversity, equity and inclusion and I look forward to hearing about the fantastic work taking place to widen the skill base and make the industry as welcoming as possible to all.

Inaugural grant from the Bunny Ennis Fund

As part of this year’s ceremony, Lynda Ennis will also be presenting a new, special award in memory of her late father, Bernard ‘Bunny’ Ennis, to recognise an individual who has displayed dedication to driving change within their chosen field.

The winner will receive a prize fund to enable them to enhance their career through professional training. Further details of the award will follow later.
