Frequently Asked Questions

Executive Search

What is executive search?

Our executive search division specialises in retained recruitment for the automotive industry. This means we’re exclusively retained by an organisation, and it is our sole responsibility to carry out market research to find the most suitable candidate for the role.

Unlike contingent recruitment, we often work on only a handful of roles at once and they are usually very specific.

How long do your searches take?

With over 15 years experience placing candidates in business critical leadership roles, we understand the impact that your senior and executive teams can have on your business. That is why we take the time needed to fully validate every candidate during our mapping process.

On average we aim to complete our searches in 4 weeks, with each search consisting of the following stages:
– Client brief
– Candidate list approval
– Ennis & Co interviews
– Shortlist presentation
– Client interviews
– Offers & references

How do you maintain confidentiality throughout a search process?

We are trusted by some of the world’s leading automotive brands to appoint their senior leaders and regularly work on roles under NDA. Our executive search team are trained to maintain confidentiality to this standard. Each stage of our search process is also carried out in house, including our own internal interview process which are carried out by our team of Associates.

Do you take on global roles?

Yes, we take on executive search assignments from organisations based overseas looking to build a team here in the UK, as well as taking on assignments for teams based in other counties. We have an extensive portfolio of previous roles based all over the world, including EMAC etc , and have built our network to include contacts globally ensuring we have the reach required to find the perfect candidate no matter your location.

Im looking for work, how can you help?

For candidates that are actively looking for work unfortunately it is unlikely that we will have a suitable open position, due to the nature of our assignments. However as part of our service we offer a career call with a member of our team so we can keep a record of your career overview for any future opportunities that may arise.

Intelligence

Where do you source your data?

All our data is exclusively sourced by our team of researchers and data analysts. The level of detail we provide can not be bought or sourced elsewhere,

Our intelligence division uses our extensive data warehouse, as well as carrying out primary research with access to our exclusive contact list to gather market and candidate insights to build our data reports.

How is your data validated?

Our data is all sourced directly from our candidates and client base, bypassing any secondary and unreliable sources. While compiling our reports all the data goes through various validation checks to ensure that its up to date, consistent and adheres to our high quality standards.

What is the turnaround time on a research project?

Our research projects vary in length depending on the extent of detail required and the research project we are completing. Generally we aim to provide our final data report within 2-3 weeks.
