automotive council

The Automotive Council was established in 2009 to enhance dialogue and strengthen co-operation between UK government and the automotive sector. The Council is made up of senior figures from across industry and government and meets three times per year.

As an affiliate of The Automotive Council, Ennis & Co supports and collaborates with the organisation primarily from a D&I and skills perspective. Through our findings and data collected via surveys and research, Ennis & Co is able to provide our expertise on topics such as the importance of equality for all and the role of HR strategy in achieving this aim. As champions of D&I, we think it is important to share our insights and views with the wider automotive industry at the Automotive Council meetings and appreciate the opportunity to do so.

As an organisation, Ennis & Co feels strongly that diversity and inclusion is a necessary element of a successful business and that increasing the conversation around this topic benefits our industry as a whole.

The IMI Diversity Task Force
The IMI

The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) launched a Diversity Task Force in March 2021 as part of a drive to tackle diversity in automotive through a year-long project.

Ennis & Co is a proud supporter of The IMI’s Diversity Task Force, as we are also an advocate of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Utilising our key insights in finding senior talent , Ennis & Co recently presented our findings on hidden and non-hidden disabilities in the workforce to The IMI’s Diversity Task Force. Fully supporting colleagues with disabilities is a key aspect of a fully diverse and inclusive organisation and one that we were delighted to spread awareness on.

Lumina Learning
LUMINA SELECT

Lumina Select is an interactive, customisable product designed especially for selection and recruitment, helping you understand a candidate’s potential for competencies required in a specific role.

Lumina Select uses its own 16 competencies developed from extensive research examining relevant work behaviours and linking these back to core personality traits. This comprehensive set of competencies reflects the complexities of many different work environments.

Predicting success: A smoothie of different Lumina Spark qualities is used to gauge competency potential. Each quality is given a specific weighting based on its relative contribution to rated performance.

Ennis & Co were delighted to partner with Lumina Select in 2021 with the aim of broadening our candidate insights. By introducing additional analysis to our reports and search processes, Lumina Select supports Ennis & Co through depth of knowledge and strategic insights.

As personality can account for up to 18% of the variance in job performance, it is important for us to highlight and analyse the key competencies of a role in relation to personality traits. Lumina Select is therefore an integrated element of our selection process, implemented in addition to our own proven methodology.
