The Cost of the Skills Gap – Eman Martin-Vignerte of Bosch

As Director of External Affairs, Governmental and Political Relations at Bosch, Eman Martin-Vignerte is responsible for creating and delivering their political strategy.

Eman joined Bosch in 1999 as a graduate engineer on the common-rail diesel injection system, developing software for Fiat.

She moved over to sales in 2004, as a sales manager for Hyundai, and also spent time in other sales management roles before taking on responsibility for political affairs and government relations in 2013.

With hardware, and more increasingly software, at the heart of the UK automotive industry, tech giant Bosch has never been more involved in the present and the future of vehicle development. In this video, Eman discusses the need for a focus not just on current but future skills requirements, and how a combination of reskilling, upskilling and working with external educational and governmental organisations can help to ease the gaps.
