BMW   

Steven Shao appointed President of BMW China Automotive Ltd.

BMW Group’s China branch announced on June 24 that Steven Shao has been appointed as President of BMW China Automotive Ltd., effective July 4, 2020. He will succeed Michael Liu, who has decided to resign from his current position due to personal reasons.

Martin Witt new Head of Volvo Group Venture Capital

Martin Witt has been appointed as Vice President and Head of Volvo Group Venture Capital as of June 1, 2020. He will report to Anna Westerberg, Senior Vice President, Volvo Group Connected Solutions.

Daimler  

Daimler appoints Philipp Schiemer as CEO of Mercedes-AMG

German automobile giant, Daimler on Tuesday has announced that Philipp Schiemer has been appointed as CEO of AMG, Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance subsidiary. He will move from his current position as the head of Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda.
In addition, the automaker has appointed Jochen Hermann as Chief Technical Officer of AMG. He will return to AMG from his current position as head of e-drive development at Daimler AG.

Groupe PSA UK appoints David March as network development director

March will be responsible for the development of the representation of the four group Brands in the UK (Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles) and their networks’ performance.

Volvo Financial Services names Patrick Shannon President of North America region

Volvo Financial Services, a unit of Volvo Group, appointed Patrick Shannon president of the company’s North America region.
In this role, he will be responsible for the business operations and financial performance in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Alfa Romeo celebrates 110 years of history

On 24 June, Alfa Romeo celebrates 110 years. Over a century of technological innovations and sporting successes told through its most prestigious cars.

On the occasion of this anniversary, the Alfa Romeo Arese Historical Museum opens to all enthusiasts a “hidden” collection of 200 cars, aeronautical and nautical engines, trophy style models and equipment.

Jardine Motors opens new Ferrari site in Kent

The new site is the second dedicated Official Ferrari Service Centre to open in June, and brings the total number of official service centres in the UK to 15.

The new facility is the beneficiary of a further £1.2m investment from Jardine Motors Group, an official Ferrari dealer partner who operate the Colchester Ferrari dealership.

Formula 1 launches plan to fight COVID challenges and inequality

Ahead of the return of Grand Prix racing on July 4, Formula 1 has launched the #WeRaceAsOne initiative which is aimed at tackling the fight against coronavirus and condemnation of racism and inequality.
As such, the Austria GP will see teams and F1 partners saying thank you to key workers and individuals by displaying rainbows on their cars and around the track.
