Ennis & Co Announce New Associates

Lorna Brown and Hazel Martin

Ennis & Co are delighted to announce the appointment of Human Resources and Global financial services professionals as new Associates of the business, who have joined as of July 2020.

Hazel Martin, former Director of Human Resources for Aston Martin, and Lorna Brown, former regional Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) in global financial services, bring to the company a wealth of knowledge spanning different career paths to add a new level of expertise to an extensive associate profile.

Hazel has an abundance of global experience within commercial HR and has specialised in luxury automotive brands including Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover, leading HR teams, transforming people strategies, championing problem-solving, introducing new leadership behaviours to promote diversity and inclusion more interactively and leading several restructuring programmes to support key changes within organisations. Following almost twenty years as Director of HR for Aston Martin, Hazel is now taking her wealth of HR experience to the next level; by assisting organisations with engagement practices to help inspire and assist individuals and businesses with their HR strategies.

Lorna’s career in Financial Services began in Retail Banking, and after securing her MCIBS qualification, she turned her hand to Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement before moving into Procurement and Supplier Management across Outsourced Services as well as various Spend Categories. Lorna is a Fellow of CIPS and has a strong understanding of the EU regulations relating to procurement and supplier management as translated into the UK under Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) requirements for Outsourcing and Third Party Management, and is currently a Non-Executive Director and Committee Chair (Finance, Risk & Governance) following eight years as a Director at grassroots level within the world of golf.

Lynda Ennis, Founder and Director of Ennis & Co, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome two new associates to the Ennis & Co team, and both are equally special as I have worked with Hazel and Lorna for many years. They are both incredibly talented ladies and I believe they’ve added a new element to the Ennis & Co dynamic. Although 2020 may have started of as a very strange year, this is the kind of news that we’re genuinely thrilled to announce and I’m very much looking forward to working with them in the future.”

Both Hazel and Lorna look to bring their wealth of knowledge and expertise to support the Ennis & Co team, as well as operating as consultants in their own right, as Hazel has begun her new venture HLM Consultancy and Lorna continues her work as a Non-Executive Director, as well as operating on a consultancy basis.

Hazel said: “Automotive has always been my passion throughout my career, so to remain within the industry as a consultant and still work with the automotive executive search specialists I’ve built such a great relationship with is a dream come true. Ennis & Co’s vision within the field of diversity and inclusion also matches mine and I’m really looking forward to future projects and initiatives within this area too.”

Lorna said: “For me, it seems the most exciting time to become a part of something different. I love being able to help and advise people and I know that working with Ennis & Co will definitely provide me with the opportunity to work on something I can sink my teeth into. Lynda and the Ennis & Co team have always supported me, so to have the opportunity to give something back is truly amazing and I’m looking forward to what the future brings as an Associate.”
